Submicron violet tungsten oxide may be used to prepare submicron tungsten powder (W powder).
Cyclic Oxidation-reduction Method to Produce Submicron Tungsten Powder
Step one: First reduction of violet tungsten oxide in hydrogen (H2), when temperature reached 860°C, keep it warm for 20min.
Step two: Use tungsten powder obtained in step one, slowly heat it to 500°C in air, process the first oxidation when temperature reaches 500°C, and then keep it warm for 10min.
Step three: Use sample of step two and adopt process conditions in step one and step two, do the cyclic oxidation-reduction experiment to obtain W powder.
Step four: Samples of the above steps were analyzed by using AR alcohol, and then the particle size and morphology of samples were analyzed by BT-9300 laser particle size analyzer and JXA-840A electron probe scanner respectively.
Compared with current methods for preparing submicron tungsten powder at home and abroad, the W powder produced by using violet tungsten oxide and cyclic oxidation-reduction method has the advantages of simple equipment and process, and easy control of process parameters.
