Solvothermal Method to Produce Cubic Phase Hydrated Tungsten Trioxide Photocatalyst

1. Acetone and urea play roles in adjusting pH value of the reaction system during production, and together with intermediate products to affect the crystal structure and the microstructure of sample.

2. The constitution water in hydrated tungsten trioxide has an important influence on its photocatalytic performance. The photocatalytic performance of sample is significantly reduced if it loses crystal water. And the photocatalytic activity is restored after regaining the crystal water.
More than 99% Rhodamine B may be degraded by the synthesized cubic phase WO3•0.5H2O after illuminated for 220 minutes.
