Blue tungsten oxide nanopowder may be applied to produce ceramic microsphere, so that it has good dispersion and thermal insulation in the thermal insulation material, and therefore applied for manufacturing thermal insulation films in different places such as building glass and auto glass.
Phase Change During Reduction of Blue Tungsten Oxide
Below 350°C, the main phase composition of the reduced blue tungsten oxide is WO3 and ammonium tungsten bronze. If the temperature rises to 400°C, a new phase of WO2.90 appears. As the reduction temperature continues to increase, the WO3 phase is significantly reduced, and the ammonium tungsten bronze and WO2.90 become the main phase, which is maintained until temperature reaches 500°C. If the reduction temperature is increased to 550°C, a new phase of WO2.72 appears, and the main phase composition at this temperature is WO2.90 and WO2.72. Therefore, the reduction of APT to blue tungsten oxide is:
APT→WO3+Ammonium Tungsten Bronze→WO2.90→WO2.72
