Tungsten bronze can form different structures such as cubic structure (CTB), tetragonal structure (TTB), intergrown structure (ITB), and hexagonal structure (HTB). And its structure is related to the synthesis method and the synthesis temperature. Generally, the cubic structure and the tetragonal structure are synthesized when it is at a high temperature condition (higher than 600°C), and the hexagonal structure is synthesized under a low temperature condition. Taking alkali metal doping as an example, smaller radius ions, such as Cs+, Li+, and Na+, can enter into cubic, tetragonal, and hexagonal tunnels.
