Nano cesium tungsten bronze powder may be prepared by hydrothermal method. By hydrothermal reaction, using cesium carbonate as a source of cerium and tungstic acid sol as a source of tungsten, nano grain size cesium tungsten bronze is obtained with high absorbance of 1.96 for near-infrared light. The hydrothermal reaction was carried out at 190°C under citric acid-induced conditions. And the reaction proceeded for three days.
The hydrothermal method has the following advantages:
1. There is low cost.
2. Water and inorganic salts are used as reaction materials, so, it is energy saving with less pollution.
3. The particle size of product is small with good dispersion, so that it can be put into use without many subsequent treatments.
4. It has received more attention as hydrothermal method does not consume organic solvents. And it is more environmentally friendly and economical.
