CsxWO3, Cs-doped tungsten bronze, is a kind of transparent thermal insulation nanopowder.
The Cs-doped tungsten bronze is usually a type of low resistivity material, in which there are generally a large number of free carriers, so that it has strong absorption on free carriers. And the absorption coefficient of free carrier (α) has a positive relationship with free carrier concentration and square of wavelength of absorbed light. Therefore, when the content of cerium (Cs) in Cs-doped tungsten bronze increases, the concentration of free carriers in the system gradually increases, and the absorption in the near-infrared region increases. In a word, the near-infrared shielding performance of CsxWO3 increases with the increase of Cs content.
The CsxWO3 films with different Cs content all have near-infrared shielding performance --- high transmittance of visible light and low transmittance of near-infrared light (800~1100 nm). And the near-infrared shielding performance of CsxWO3 films increase with the content of Cs, among which the near-infrared shielding performance of Cs0.3WO3 film is the best.
