Cesium Doped Tungsten Oxide Powder for Thermal Insulation Glass

Compared with single component tungsten oxide powder, the optical performance of cesium doped tungsten oxide powder is more superior, that is, the absorption ability of infrared rays is stronger, and the transmittance of visible light is higher. It has wide application range in block of near infrared light and thermal insulation glass. How to prepare cesium doped tungsten oxide nano powder with reasonable cost and high product stability?

(1) Dissolve the raw material tungsten salt and cesium salt in a solvent respectively, and the tungsten salt solution is configured into a tungstic acid solution through an exchange resin.

(2) Mix the tungstic acid solution, the cesium salt solution, and the reaction solvent, and continue to stir for 1 to 3 hours to prepare the hydrothermal reaction precursor.

(3) Put the precursor liquid in a closed hydrothermal reactor with a stirring device, and stir and react for 5-20 hours at 180-300°C.

(4) After repeated washing of the hydrothermal reaction precipitate, it is dried, pulverized, and calcined to obtain the target product.

The precautions for this production method are as follows:

1) In step (1), the tungsten salt is any one of sodium tungstate, ammonium tungstate, and potassium tungstate, the cesium salt is any one of cesium carbonate, cesium nitrate, and cesium sulfate, and the solvent is any one of deionized water, anhydrous and ethanol.

2) In step (2), the reaction solvent is prepared by dissolving any one of citric acid, sorbic acid, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, and polyethylene glycol in deionized water or absolute ethanol. The quality of the reaction solvent is 1.3 to 3.2 times the total mass of tungsten salt and cesium salt. The stirring process is to stir in a water bath at 50 to 80°C.

3) In step (4), the washing process uses either deionized water or absolute ethanol for washing; the drying process is at 80-120°C for 8-12 hours; the pulverizing process uses a jet mill for pulverization. The air pressure in the grinding chamber is controlled at 0.5~1.0MPa, and the grinding speed is set at 2000~5000 rpm; the calcination process is in any atmosphere of vacuum, hydrogen, argon, and the temperature is raised to 300 at a rate of 2~10℃/min. After 300~800℃, continue heat treatment for 1~2h.

The cesium doped tungsten oxide nano-powder manufactured by this production method has good stability, ultraviolet blocking rate greater than 99.8%, visible light transmittance 70-88%, infrared blocking rate up to 94-99%, and the production process cost is low , Easy to operate, good environmental protection, suitable for large-scale industrial production.
