Yellow tungsten oxide may be used as the main component of anti-radiation filler to prepare a cold-resistant and radiation-proof composite material, so as to effectively compensate for the weak absorption area of lead in X-ray shielding applications. Such a radiation-resistant composite material has excellent properties of cold resistance, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance, aging resistance, and impact resistance.

The cold-resistant and radiation-proof composite material is made using polyvinyl chloride as the main material, combined with nano-silica sol, butadiene rubber and nano-TPU powder. The radiation-proof composite material can be made from the following parts by weight of raw materials: 30-45 parts of polyvinyl chloride, 10-15 parts of nano silica sol, 10-15 parts of butadiene rubber, 5-9 parts of nano-TPU powder, and 3-6 parts of anti-radiation filler, 2‑8 parts of polyolefin elastomer, 3‑8 parts of nano tin oxide powder, 2‑6 parts of straw fiber, 1‑5 parts of silk fiber, 3‑7 parts of coupling agent, 2‑5 parts of heat stabilizer, 1‑3 parts of antioxidant, 2‑5 parts of plasticizer, 1‑4 parts of compatibilizer. Wherein, rare earth elements, graphite, zinc oxide, yellow tungsten oxide and boron compounds are added to the anti-radiation filler.
