There are two main processes of recovering ammonium tungstate from APT crystallization mother liquor: scheelite precipitation technology and conversion to sodium tungstate technology. The scheelite precipitation technology has disadvantages of high consumption of auxiliary materials, high production costs, and high energy consumption. The technology of conversion to sodium tungstate also consumes many auxiliary materials and costs high. Therefore, it becomes a technical problem urgently to be solved in the technical field of tungsten wet smelting to produce ammonium paratungstate. In this regard, the researchers proposed a new process for recovering ammonium tungstate from apt crystallization mother liquor: obtain ammonium tungstophosphate precipitate; ammonia neutralization of ammonium tungstophosphate precipitate; remove impurities (phosphorus and magnesium) in the solution neutralized with ammonia, remove molybdenum, and recovers a high-purity ammonium tungstate solution, which effectively reduces the production cost.
