The results showed that the particle size of WO3 and Bi2O3 modified by GQA ball milling reaches nanometer level, and organic active dingal groups are grafted on the surface. Compared with pure natural rubber materials, the tensile strength of composite materials is increased by more than two times. When the mass ratio of WO3 and Bi2O3 nanoparticles is 15:15, the shielding rate of γ-rays of WO3-Bi2O3 composites is increased to 12% from 8.3% and 9.2% when WO3 and Bi2O3 are filled respectively. In addition, the experts introduced that the quantum effects, surface effects, and uniform dispersion of WO3 and Bi2O3 nanoparticles in natural rubber matrix are the keys to synergistically enhancing the composite's mechanical properties and the shielding performance against γ-rays.
