Nano yellow tungsten oxide may not only be applied for heat insulating window glass, but also for emulsion separation in water pollution treatment, which is developed with the development of the preparations of WO3.
Hydrothermal synthesis of yellow tungsten oxide thin film and its application in emulsion separation will be introduced briefly below. First, 5mmol of sodium tungstate was dissolved in 20ml of deionized water and acidified to pH=2 with dilute hydrochloric acid (2M). Then, 14mmol of oxalic acid was added to the prepared acidic solution to obtain stable yellow tungsten oxide colloidal suspension. The obtained suspension was then diluted to 50ml and transferred to the clean reaction kettle (100ml). The pre-cleaned stainless steel net was soaked in the obtained suspension. Finally, the reactor was sealed and kept at a temperature of 180°C for 4 hours, and then taken out. After the reactor was slowly cooled to room temperature, the product was taken out and washed for use.
