Nano yellow tungsten oxide may be used not only as a heat-insulating film in thermal insulating glass, but also as a catalyst or different roles in many other fields. For example, it can be applied in the fields of photochromism, electrochromism, visible light photocatalysis and gas sensing.
Preparation of Tungsten Trioxide Film
First, 5mmoL of sodium tungstate was dissolved in 5ml of deionized water and the solution was acidified with dilute hydrochloric acid (2M). Then, 5mmoL of oxalic acid was added to the obtained acidic solution to obtain the stable tungsten trioxide colloidal suspension and to further increase the H+ concentration. And then, the obtained suspension was diluted to 50mL and transferred to the 100mL reaction vessel. After that, the pre-cleaned stainless steel net was soaked in the obtained suspension. Finally, the reactor was sealed, and the reactor was sealed at 180°C for 4 hours. After the reactor was slowly cooled to room temperature, the product was taken out and cleaned for use. The prepared film was used to test its surface wetting properties.
