Tungsten Trioxide Nanopowder Applied for Heat Insulating Window Glass

Tungsten trioxide nanopowder may be applied for producing heat insulating window glass. And there are many methods for preparing nano grain size tungsten trioxide. The following describes a preparation method of tungsten trioxide nanosheet.

Preparation of Tungsten Trioxide Nanosheet
A novel intercalation compound was synthesized in a nonpolar heptane medium using H2W2O7 and n-octylamine as material, and a dingal material was finally obtained after removing the organic amine and calcining. The material exhibits extremely high sensitivity to alcohol. In addition, the H2W2O7•xH2O reacts with heptane/octane mixed solution, as shown in the following formula:

The released interlayer water undergoes a hydrolysis reaction with octylamine to form high alkaline micro-zone aqueous solution, and the [W2O7] bilayer is dissolved in high alkaline solution into [WO4] monolayer, as shown by the following formula:
SEMH2-a(RNH3)aW2O7+(2b-a)RNH2+H2O→2H2-b(RNH3)bWO4

The obtained H2-b(RNH3)bWO4 self-assembles into highly ordered inorganic-organic hybrid nanobelt (C8NH2-HWO) in quasi-inverse micelle medium. After the nanobelt is dispersed in nitric acid aqueous solution, tungsten trioxide nanosheet can be obtained by magnetically stirring, solid-liquid separation, washing, and heat treatment.
